Overview

The Notifications feature on the Sabasi Dashboard keeps users informed about key activities and updates within the platform. Notifications are automatically generated for events such as dashboard updates, file uploads, and system changes, ensuring users stay up-to-date with relevant information.


Dashboard Notifications Sections

1. Notifications List

  • Displays a chronological list of all recent notifications on the platform.
  • Each notification includes:
    • User Activity: The name of the user performing the action (e.g., John Mwangi).
    • Action Performed: A description of the action (e.g., uploaded a file, updated a dashboard layout).
    • Timestamp: Indicates how long ago the action occurred (e.g., “73 hrs ago”).

2. Mark All as Read

  • A shortcut to clear all unread notifications.
  • How to Use:
    • Click the Mark All as Read link at the top of the notification list.
    • All notifications will be marked as read and removed from the unread count.

3. Search Notifications

  • Enables users to find specific notifications quickly.
  • How to Use:
    • Use the search bar (if available) to type keywords related to the notification (e.g., file name, user name).

How to Access Notifications

  1. Navigate to the Notifications page from the left-hand navigation menu.
  2. View the list of notifications directly or take actions like marking them as read.

Troubleshooting Notifications

1. Missing Notifications

  • Issue: Notifications do not appear for recent activities.
  • Solution:
    • Refresh the notifications page to ensure the latest updates are displayed.
    • Confirm that the activity triggering the notification is complete (e.g., successful file upload).

2. Notifications Not Clearing

  • Issue: Notifications remain marked as unread even after clicking “Mark All as Read.”
  • Solution:
    • Refresh the page and retry.
    • If the issue persists, report it to the Sabasi support team.

3. Irrelevant or Duplicate Notifications

  • Issue: Notifications appear for actions not related to your account or duplicate notifications are shown.
